About The Position

The Environmental Services Team at Givens Estates, a continuing care retirement community in Asheville, has a full-time housekeeping position serving Independent Living, including Friendship Park. The role provides cleaning services in residents’ homes to help them thrive independently, while contributing to the cleanliness and appearance of residences and shared areas. Team members positively affect residents, visitors, and colleagues through their work.

Requirements

Ability to move, bend, and lift regularly throughout the shift.
Take personal responsibility for workplace safety.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Keep residences, common areas, and administrative areas clean and well-maintained.
Follow assigned tasks for bed making and cleaning floors, furniture, draperies, blinds, window sills, trash cans, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and other areas in accommodations and common spaces.
Respond to emergency cleaning situations.
Work as part of the Environmental Services team and openly share ideas and goals.
Build rapport and trust in the services provided with residents and fellow team members.
Perform other duties or tasks assigned as needed by an authorized supervisor.
