About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Residential Driver to operate heavy-duty automated side-load or rear-load trucks and collect residential household waste or recyclable materials. When the truck reaches legal load capacity, the driver transports materials to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility. The driver safely maneuvers the vehicle in residential environments, including high-traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL, or equivalent military driving experience, within the last 7 years.
At least 21 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with an air-brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

Operate the vehicle in accordance with Life Critical Rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and document checks using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
Immediately report unsafe situations and service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
Attend and participate in scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as directed by the Route Manager.
Work with the Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
Notify the Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
Notify the Route Manager or Dispatch about service interruptions, including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles that are too heavy to service, or potential safety hazards.
Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or the Route Manager.
Completely empty receptacles and leave customer locations clean and free of debris.
Follow route assignments and complete end-of-day documentation and the check-out process.
Perform duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
Help maintain a positive work environment through respectful conduct and communication with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
