About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is hiring a Residential Driver to operate heavy-duty automated side-load or rear-load trucks and collect residential household waste or recyclable material. The driver transports material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility when the truck reaches legal load capacity. The role involves safely maneuvering in residential settings and navigating high-traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with an air-brake endorsement.
• One year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL, or equivalent military driving experience, within the last seven years.

Responsibilities

• Operate the vehicle in accordance with Life Critical Rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and document checks using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Immediately report unsafe situations and service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as directed by the Route Manager.
• Work with the Route Manager to improve route efficiency and identify best practices.
• Notify the Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Notify the Route Manager or Dispatch about service interruptions, including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles that are too heavy to service, and potential safety hazards.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or the Route Manager.
• Completely empty receptacles and leave customer locations clean and free of debris.
• Follow assigned routes and complete end-of-day documentation and checkout.
• Perform duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a positive work environment through respectful communication and conduct with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
