About The Position

Riverside Community Care is hiring a part-time Residential Counselor to provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, or acquired brain injury. The role helps residents develop daily living skills, build meaningful relationships, and participate as valued members of their communities. The Residential Counselor provides support, supervision, coaching, and companionship in a respectful and inclusive manner. Staff encourage residents to recognize their strengths, explore opportunities, and pursue their hopes and goals. Homes are typically shared by 3–5 residents, with private bedrooms and shared living spaces. Staffing is available 24/7 and schedules are tailored to residents’ needs. The schedule is Monday and Friday, 2 p.m.–10 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.–11 p.m.; and Sunday, 4 p.m.–11 p.m. (38 hours). Pay is $20.60 per hour.

Responsibilities

Help residents maintain physical and emotional health and live safely in the community.
Foster residents’ relationships with housemates, family members, and neighbors.
Help residents develop and practice skills that increase independence, confidence, and self-determination.
Support residents’ participation in community activities, work, and volunteer opportunities that reflect their goals and interests.
Provide support, supervision, coaching, and companionship.
Provide ongoing guidance and support in residents’ homes.
