About The Position

MARC, Inc. of Manchester is looking for a Full-Time Coordinator for In Home Supports in our Residential Department. The primary function of the position is to ensure that all persons served live in integrated, dignified and respectful residences and that services are provided in accordance with not only MARC, Inc's mission statement and philosophy but also with State and Federal mandated laws, policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Associated degree and four years in human services.
  • Knowledge of agency policies and, State and Federal laws, policies and regulations.
  • Knowledge of computer operations.
  • Knowledge of management information systems.
  • Ability to analyze situations and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to act quickly and remain calm in a crisis.
  • Ability to relate well to others on an individual basis and in a group.
  • Ability to train and consult with individuals both internally and within the community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize, be flexible, keep a neat work area, and work independently.
  • Ability to drive and have available a personal car.
  • Ability to obtain and ensure CPR, First Aid, PMT Training and Medication Administration Certification through the Department of Developmental Services within six months of hire date and throughout duration of employment at MARC and to keep all trainings current.

Responsibilities

  • Implements, facilitates, and promotes community integration and personal growth for all persons served through individualized supports.
  • Ensures the specific needs of each person served are addressed and met in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of each person's Individual Plan.
  • Through the team process, ensures goals for persons served are reasonable, achievable, and measurable.
  • Develops and fosters natural supports within the community for all persons served.
  • Acts as a liaison with community agencies and procures necessary resources for persons served.
  • Provides transportation to persons served as needed.
  • May oversee or assist with medical appointments and medication box setup.
  • Schedules staff and ensures appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Completes performance evaluations in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Communicates staff performance concerns, progress, and training needs to the Residential Director in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all required staff and person served training is completed and maintains training records in accordance with Agency policies.
  • In partnership with Human Resources, recommends hiring and termination decisions to the Residential Director.
  • Maintains accurate, professional documentation and prepares reports in accordance with Agency policies, DDS regulations, and state guidelines.
  • Completes and submits all required administrative documentation in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and submits electronic mileage records to the Residential Director, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and follows up with staff regarding corrections as needed.
  • Reviews, approves, and clears Paycom timecard exceptions for assigned staff within 48 hours.
  • Carries a cell phone for emergency communication.
  • Maintains accountability for program budgets and spending records.
  • Works collaboratively with families to maximize utilization of each person's authorized service hours.
  • Ensures compliance with all Agency policies and procedures, DDS regulations, and applicable state standards.
  • Ensures required training certifications remain current, including CPR, First Aid, Medication Certification, and PMT. Required trainings must be completed within six months of hire and maintained thereafter.
  • Attends all required agency, departmental, committee, staff, resident, and external meetings.
  • Participates in all required Agency training programs and professional development opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Residential Director.
