Residential Carpenter - W2, Full Time!
About The Position
West Shore Home is hiring a full-time Residential Carpenter (listed in the posting as a Residential Remodeler/Installer) to perform residential window and exterior-door replacement work in the Hartford, Connecticut area. The Installer assists with safe, effective installations in accordance with company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols while providing customers with a five-star experience. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 6:30 a.m. start time. The role includes traveling from the warehouse to customers’ homes, completing installation work, and returning to the warehouse. Approximate compensation is $21–$24 per hour; final compensation may vary based on factors including background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. West Shore Home is a technology-driven home-improvement company specializing in bathroom, flooring, window, and door remodels. It operates in more than 40 locations nationwide and has over 3,000 employees.
Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, or construction, or a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A valid smartphone or smart device to access company-required systems using two-factor authentication.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 a.m. to load materials and trucks.
- Travel to customers’ homes, greet them, and establish rapport.
- Remove existing window and door spaces, install replacement windows and exterior doors, and replace trim.
- Clean up thoroughly and take care to protect the customer’s home.
- Collect paperwork and payment, then return to the warehouse.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and PPE protocols while performing safe and effective installations.
