The Service Technician delivers exceptional client experiences through expert service, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and supporting smart home systems across our luxury residential projects, ensuring every system performs flawlessly and every client interaction reflects the Bravas standard of excellence, while embodying our six core values: collaborative, accountable, proactive, curious, passionate, and creative.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in residential A/V or smart home system installation or service preferred.
  • Strong understanding of A/V, security, lighting, and home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, DSC, Clare).
  • Ability to read and interpret home schematics, plans, and CAD drawings.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and comfort working independently in client environments.
  • Strong communication and client service skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; security license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and resolves issues with installed systems including Control4, Lutron Homeworks, Savant, and Crestron.
  • Configures, programs, and troubleshoots networks, control systems, A/V, and surveillance equipment.
  • Utilizes remote access tools to repair and stabilize network-based systems.
  • Sets up remote monitoring platforms and enrolls clients in appropriate support plans.
  • Coordinates with the Service Manager to track, document, and resolve recurring service issues.
  • Communicates effectively with manufacturer tech support when necessary.
  • Manages part replacements, tracks orders, and ensures timely completion of repairs.
  • Identifies opportunities for system upgrades or replacements and shares recommendations with the team.
  • Maintains accurate records of work orders, time entries, and job costing.
  • Participates in on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
