About The Position

YCS is hiring Residential Assistants for its Kilbarchan campus in Paterson, New Jersey, which serves as a residential treatment center for adolescent males, including high-risk adolescent males. Residential Assistants provide positive support, caring assistance, and responsible supervision. The role requires sensitivity to recognize and appropriately respond to clients who may have demonstrated difficulties.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with youth in a behavioral setting.
• High school diploma.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with residents’ treatment goals.
• Carry out expected interventions.
• Observe and document residents’ progress and success.
• Identify current therapeutic goals or suggest new goals that may require attention from the treatment team.
