About The Position

Resident Substitute Teachers at Classical Charter Schools support the network’s mission to maximize student achievement and development. They prepare and facilitate lessons in classrooms where teachers are absent, across subjects and grade levels, using Classical’s scripted curriculum. They maintain high behavioral expectations, uphold established classroom systems, and follow schoolwide procedures and routines. The role also involves engaging with scholars and staff across grade levels and being consistently reliable and present, communicating effectively, demonstrating flexibility, and responding productively to changes in the moment. The position is for the 2026–2027 school year, reports to the School Director, and is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some responsibilities outside of school hours. Compensation is $52,000–$60,000.

Requirements

An undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university.
