About The Position

Silverado is hiring a creative and compassionate Resident Engagement Assistant to help bring joy, engagement, and purpose to residents’ daily lives through recreational programming. The role supports the Director of Resident Engagement with planning and leading daily activities, organizing memory enrichment for small groups, encouraging participation, preparing program materials, and supporting music and occupational therapy sessions. The position works with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. This is a full-time PM-shift role scheduled Tuesday through Saturday. The anticipated pay range is $20–$24 USD. Candidates should be dependable, enthusiastic, team-focused, and passionate about helping others live with dignity and joy.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Comfort working around animals and pets.
Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Ability to perform an active role involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with older adults or memory care.
