RESIDENT CARE RN SUPERVISOR
About The Position
This position will serve in the role of RN Night Supervisor and is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients. Makes staff assignments as directed when serving in a Charge Nurse Role. Gives guidance and direction to personnel - LPNs, CNAs and non-licensed personnel, provides direct patient care, assists in new staff orientation and collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs. Assist in coordinating the operation of a shift on the nursing unit. This should be performed under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in accordance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing minimum; or Bachelor or Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing.
- Registered and Licensed by the State of Georgia.
- Certification in CPR (within 60 days of hire).
- Certification in ACLS (and PALS if Charge Nurse) current or enrolls in class and completes within 90 days.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Able to work at a personal computer.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Able to lift, push, bend and carry loads of up to 50 pounds.
- Able to lift and move patients.
- Able to concentrate despite frequent interruptions.
- Emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.

- Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
