About The Position

Pinewood Square is seeking a caring and dependable Resident Care Aide to provide hands-on support with residents’ daily activities and build meaningful relationships with them. This part-time, third-shift role is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and requires working every other weekend. The position requires at least one year of experience in senior housing and knowledge of DHEC regulations. Team members can use Tapcheck, a mobile app that provides access to earned wages before payday.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in senior housing and knowledge of DHEC regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED accepted and may be required by state regulations.
• Positive attitude, flexibility to perform varied duties in service to residents, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Dedication and passion for serving seniors, with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to make choices and decisions and act in residents’ best interests.
• Written and verbal communication skills and an appropriate level of understanding.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Previous experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Prepare residents for meals, snacks, and activities.
• Assist residents in the dining room, including serving meals and clearing tables.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
• Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the Resident Care Coordinator or their designee.
• Communicate with residents and family members in a polite, professional manner.
• Maintain resident care documentation as required by state regulations and Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures.
• Transport residents when required.
