About The Position

At Pinewood Square, caregiving involves providing daily care while helping residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home. The Resident Care Aide provides hands-on assistance with activities of daily living and builds meaningful relationships with residents. This is a part-time, third-shift position scheduled from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with every other weekend required. At least one year of experience in senior housing and knowledge of DHEC regulations are required.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in senior housing and DHEC regulations.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Positive attitude, flexibility to perform varied duties, and ability to work in a team environment.
Dedication to serving seniors and excellent customer service skills.
Ability to make choices and decisions and act in residents’ best interests.
Written and verbal communication skills and an appropriate level of understanding.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
High school diploma or GED accepted and may be required by state regulations.

Previous experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
Prepare residents for meals, snacks, and activities.
Assist residents in the dining room, including serving meals and clearing tables.
Respond to the resident emergency call system.
Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the Resident Care Coordinator or designee.
Communicate politely and professionally with residents and family members.
Maintain resident care documentation as required by state regulations and Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures.
Transport residents when required.
