About The Position

Legacy of North Myrtle Beach, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking a caring and dependable Resident Care Aide to provide hands-on support with residents’ daily activities and build meaningful relationships with them. The role focuses on helping residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home. This is a full-time opportunity, with openings across all shifts. The position requires a high school diploma, completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course, and Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing certification. Candidates must be at least 18 and able to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and provide care in a safe environment for seniors.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
Ability to express oneself adequately in written and oral communication and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to oneself or others.
Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.

Responsibilities

Build positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
Attend in-service and education programs and complete continuing education required by state regulations.
Remain calm under stressful conditions.
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the community dress code.
Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
Report changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
Complete work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with community policies and procedures.
Operate equipment safely and use only equipment for which training has been provided.
Use infection-control precautions and practices during all activities.
Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report safety violations.
