About The Position

At Pinewood Square, the Resident Care Aide provides hands-on support with residents’ daily activities while building meaningful relationships and helping residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home. This is a part-time role scheduled every other weekend. Candidates need at least one year of experience in senior housing and familiarity with DHEC regulations. Pinewood Square offers Tapcheck, a mobile app that lets team members access earned wages instantly.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in senior housing and knowledge of DHEC regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED is accepted and may be required by state regulations.
• Positive attitude, flexibility to perform varied duties in service to residents, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Dedication and passion for serving seniors, with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to make choices and decisions and act in residents’ best interests.
• Written and verbal communication skills and an appropriate level of understanding.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Prepare residents for meals, snacks, and activities.
• Assist residents in the dining room, including serving meals and clearing tables.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
• Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the Resident Care Coordinator or designee.
• Communicate politely and professionally with residents and family members.
• Maintain resident care documentation as required by state regulations and Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures.
• Transport residents when required.
