Resident Care Aide (Part-Time)(3rd Shift) - Dalton Square
About The Position
At Dalton Square, a community of Navion Senior Living, the Resident Care Aide provides hands-on support with residents’ daily activities while building meaningful relationships and helping residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home. This is a part-time position on the third shift. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, meal and activity preparation, dining-room support, responding to emergency calls, observing and documenting residents’ conditions, communicating with residents and families, maintaining required care documentation, and transporting residents when needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is accepted and may be required by state regulations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Positive attitude, flexibility to perform various duties in service to residents, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Dedication and passion for serving seniors, with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to make choices and decisions and act in residents’ best interests.
- Written and verbal communication skills and an appropriate level of understanding.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Prepare residents for meals, snacks, and activities.
- Assist residents in the dining room, including serving meals and clearing tables.
- Respond to the resident emergency call system.
- Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the Resident Care Coordinator or their designee.
- Communicate with residents and family members in a polite, professional manner.
- Maintain required resident care documentation in accordance with state regulations and Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures.
- Transport residents when required.
