Resident Attendant
About The Position
NHC Place Anniston is hiring a Resident Attendant to provide personal care and comfort to residents in a family-oriented senior-care environment. The role includes supporting residents with activities of daily living, helping maintain a safe and clean environment, preparing residents for meals and services, responding to call lights, anticipating residents’ needs, and conducting secure checks. The position is available full-time or part-time and follows 8-hour shifts, with rotating weekends. Listed shift times are 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. NHC describes a workplace culture focused on teamwork, excellence, recognition, empowerment, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Capable of accurately charting on a resident’s plan or care record.
- Sensitive to residents’ physical and psychosocial needs.
- Able to assist residents with transfers.
- Share NHC’s values of honesty and integrity and have a heart for geriatric patients.
