About The Position

Modern Family Law is hiring 3Ls and recent graduates sitting for the February 2027 or July 2027 Colorado Bar exam for its MFL Academy Residency Program in Denver, Colorado Springs, or Fort Collins. The role is hybrid, and participants must sit for the Colorado Bar; UBE score transfer is not accepted. Residents must plan to live within a reasonable commute of their office location. After the Bar exam, residents receive training in substantive family law and courtroom advocacy, with mentorship from the Learning & Development department and legal teams. The program is intended to support a successful transition into an MFL Associate Attorney position after the participant passes the Bar. Associate Attorneys have direct client contact and manage family-law matters such as divorce, child custody, and financial support. The role offers opportunities to develop litigation skills and serve as first chair early in a career, supported by modern case-management and communication technology, ongoing learning and development, and transparent advancement tracks. The firm describes its setting as remote-first, with brick-and-mortar office space available and in-person attendance as required by courts and clients. Associate Attorneys have a 100-hour monthly billable-hours requirement. The Resident salary is $66,560; the Associate Attorney starting base salary is $130,000, with possible total annual earnings of $152,200. The stated salary range is $66,560–$152,200, with actual pay adjusted for experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full-time employees are eligible for health insurance, an optional HSA, short- and long-term disability, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, healthcare and dependent-care flexible spending accounts, a 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs and commuter/transit programs may be available. Work from anywhere is available after six months to eligible employees.
