Modern Family Law is hiring 3Ls and recent graduates who will sit for the February 2027 or July 2027 Bar exam for its Residency Program in Atlanta or Savannah, Georgia. The position is hybrid, and candidates must sit for the Bar and plan to reside in the state where they are applying. After the Bar exam, residents receive training in substantive family law and courtroom advocacy, with mentorship from the MFL Learning & Development department and legal teams. The program is designed to help residents transition to an Associate Attorney position after passing the Bar. Residents are expected to complete training, develop client-conversion skills, and prepare to handle client matters from start to finish. As an Associate Attorney, the role offers direct client contact and case management for matters involving divorce, child custody, financial support, and other family-law issues. Attorneys can develop litigation skills and serve as first chair early in their careers. Associate Attorneys have a 100-hour monthly billable-hours requirement. The firm provides ongoing learning and development support, transparent advancement tracks, leadership opportunities, and technology for caseload and communication management. The role is in a remote-first setting with office space available; in-person attendance may be required by courts and clients. Work from anywhere may be available after six months. Salary starts at $66,560 for a Resident and $104,000 for an Associate Attorney. The stated salary range is $66,560-$110,700, with actual pay adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Candidates are expected to perform assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Candidates who need accommodation should advise the Director of People Operations in advance.
