Modern Family Law is hiring 3L law students and recent graduates sitting for the February 2027 or July 2027 Bar exam to join MFL Academy’s Residency Program in its Atlanta or Savannah, Georgia office. The role is hybrid and candidates must sit for the Bar and plan to reside in the state where they are applying. After taking the Bar exam, Residents receive training in substantive family law and courtroom advocacy, with mentorship from the MFL Learning & Development department and legal teams. After passing the Bar, Residents are expected to transition to an MFL Associate Attorney position. Associate Attorneys have direct client contact and manage cases involving divorce, child custody, financial support, and other family-law matters. They have opportunities to develop litigation skills and serve as first chair early in their careers. The Associate Attorney billable-hours requirement is 100 hours per month. The firm describes its setting as remote-first, with office space available and in-person attendance as required by courts and clients. Work from anywhere is available after six months. The Resident salary is $66,560; the Associate Attorney starting base salary is $90,000, with earnings up to $110,700 per year. The stated salary range is $66,560–$110,700, with actual pay adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
