About The Position

Spring Creek Village, an assisted living senior community with Memory Care, is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to support residents and help create a warm, homelike environment. The role provides assistance with activities of daily living, meals, leisure activities, resident safety, and maintaining a clean and orderly community. Available shifts are 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to one year of prior resident care experience; experience with seniors is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining while encouraging independence.
• Serve meals in the dining room or residents’ apartments, assist with meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities that encourage residents to socialize and build friendships.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents’ conditions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment, including performing general housekeeping duties.
• Follow emergency procedures and respond promptly to resident requests, emergency call pendants, and telephone calls.
• Know each resident’s location, remind residents to sign out when leaving, and promptly report when a resident cannot be located.
• Promote a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
• Attend required in-service training sessions.
• Participate as an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.
