About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides personal care and related services to residents according to individualized service and care plans, working under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator. The position is offered on full-time and part-time NOC shifts, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. A Nurse’s Aide certification is preferred but not required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
At least six months of caregiving experience; experience with elderly residents is preferred.
Completion of the required medication management course.
CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Professionalism and ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

Nurse’s Aide certification.
Caregiving experience with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

Obtain and record vital signs and report deviations to the supervising nurse according to the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, nutrition, ambulation, transfers, positioning, and medication reminders.
Follow ISPs and daily task sheets, and communicate changes in residents’ status to supervisors.
Use standard precautions and infection control procedures.
Maintain safe and clean resident environments and document resident progress in a timely manner.
Encourage resident engagement in activities.
Protect HIPAA-confidential information and follow community policies.
Attend biweekly in-service meetings and mandatory trainings.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
