About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in an assisted living community. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, helps them get around the community, responds to calls and requests, and follows resident care plans. The schedule is full-time overnight, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with every other weekend required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards.
• Review and follow resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
