About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in an assisted living community. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and helps maintain their personal environments. It also involves transporting residents within the community, responding promptly and safely to calls and requests, and following resident care plans while obtaining vital signs. This is a part-time overnight position scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
