About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides support to residents in an assisted living community. Responsibilities include helping residents with activities of daily living, transporting residents within the community, responding promptly and safely to calls and requests, and following resident care plans while obtaining vital signs. The role is part-time, with a schedule of 2–10 p.m. and every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
