About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to assisted living residents, helping with activities of daily living and maintaining residents’ personal environments. The role also includes transporting residents within the community, responding promptly and safely to calls, requests, and environmental hazards, and following resident care plans while obtaining vital signs. This is a part-time position scheduled from 2–10 p.m. and every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environments.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
