About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides compassionate support to residents in an assisted living community, helping them with activities of daily living and ensuring their safety and well-being. The role is full-time with a variable schedule and requires weekend availability. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care and resident environments, transporting residents within the community, responding promptly and safely to emergencies and requests, and following resident care plans while obtaining vital signs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
