About The Position
The Resident Assistant provides personal care and designated health-related services to enhance or maintain residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing at Meadows on Fairview Assisted Living in Wyoming, Minnesota. Meadows on Fairview is a 51-unit assisted living and transitional care community near Fairview Lakes Hospital and Dialysis Center. The community offers a small setting where staff can get to know residents and coworkers, alongside opportunities to grow. The schedule is casual, with no block schedule, and includes weekend rotation as needed.
Requirements
- Required experience: less than one year.
- Ability to use computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines.
- If under 18, must be on the Minnesota NAR registry.
Nice To Haves
- One to three years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing or showering and foot and fingernail care.
- Assist with meal service in the dining room.
- Help prepare for and/or facilitate resident social and recreational activities as assigned and requested.
- Observe residents and report their status to appropriate staff.
- Notify appropriate staff of changes in residents’ physical or emotional conditions, including changes in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, or weight change.
- Serve as a mandated reporter and report concerns about potential mistreatment.
- Offer pertinent observations and input.
- Respond appropriately to resident and building emergencies.
