Join The Doe Fund in our mission to move New Yorkers from homelessness to stable housing, lasting employment, and economic opportunity. Our flagship workforce development program, Ready, Willing & Able (RWA), operates across 660 transitional housing beds and combines housing and comprehensive supportive services with paid work training, career preparation, and occupational skills training. The Doe Fund’s innovative social enterprise model creates additional opportunities for New Yorkers to gain paid, hands-on experience while delivering essential services across the city, including supplemental sanitation, graffiti removal, and rain garden maintenance. We are also one of New York City’s largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 2,100 apartments in operation or development, creating safe, dignified homes with supportive services and spaces that foster community and connection. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $88 million and a full-time staff of over 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs. We are seeking a Part-Time Residence Manager for the Crotona Park residence, which is The Doe Fund's newest permanent supportive housing program for men and women. The population will be a mix of seniors, formerly homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS, individuals diagnosed with a mental illness, and/or substance abuse. The program is designed to provide long-term residential care and twenty-four-hour support services in a community environment that maximizes residents' independence while ensuring their physical and emotional security and well-being. The majority of Crotona Park residents will be referred by the New York City HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) and some by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). The Part-Time Residence Manager is responsible for the supervision of the residents and the overall operation of the facility during designated shifts. S/he will work collaboratively with the Clinical team and the Program Director to ensure that resident needs are being met, as well as the safety of the facility. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills along with an understanding of working with the HIV/AIDS population, including seniors.
