About The Position

The Associate will work with the Director of Revenue Management and be responsible for all aspects of group rooms management including room blocks and reservations. The Associate will also be responsible for daily internal reservation assistance and commission processing. The Associate may also assist with occasional support for phones and front office.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience in hospitality
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience, preferably in a four-star hotel
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • High level attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to multiple software applications like property management system, sales system, commission system and extranets among others
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and math skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum two years of training in reservations or in the hospitality industry
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Able to maintain clean and concise documentation
  • Display a positive approach to conflict resolution
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, etc...
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Able to type quickly and correctly

  • NAVIS Certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Group room inventory management
  • Oversee group room logistics
  • Rooming lists and reservation links
  • Manage internal reservation requests
  • Create reservation booking links
  • Collaborate with sales and events, attend resume and sales meetings
  • Occasional support for phones and front desk
  • Empower/GXP guest communication cases and work orders
