About The Position

At Aqua Aston Hospitality, the Reservations Agent sells hotel rooms to prospective guests by providing information and assistance over the phone based on hotel inventory and rate plan availability. The role also involves timely and accurate entry of rooming lists into the hotel property management system (PMS) to support guest satisfaction and accurate system reporting. The position handles guest and group reservations, reservation changes, advance deposits, commissions, and daily audits of upcoming arrivals. The agent also responds independently to questions and concerns from guests and vendors.

Requirements

High school degree/diploma or equivalent additional experience.
At least 1 year of experience in hospitality reservations.
Computer proficiency and ability to operate facsimile and copy machines.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls promptly and provide guests with hotel information and accommodations.
Convert telephone inquiries into reservations while maintaining acceptable performance statistics.
Enter, confirm, and modify telephone, facsimile, and email reservations.
Assist with individual and group reservations in the system.
Address guest and vendor questions or concerns independently.
Load group rooming lists, assign rooms, specify billing instructions, and secure final payments in full before group arrival.
Process advance deposits.
Perform a daily reservations audit for the next day's arrivals.
Process commissions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
