About The Position

Maxime’s is NYC’s newest private member’s club from entrepreneur Robin Birley, owner of prestigious private member’s clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s in London. Maxime’s mission is to provide exceptional and discreet service for our members through unparalleled hospitality. Our aim is to make members feel as though they are in a private home, enjoying outstanding food and wine surrounded by stunning decor. Maxime’s is the newest private member’s club opening from entrepreneur Robin Birley, located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City. We are seeking a Reservationist to join our world-class hospitality brigade. Reporting to the Reservations and Events Manager, the Reservationist will be managing the day-to-day operation of Club Reservations and facilitate members requests in a timely and efficient manner, oversee bookings, and member database, handle large parties and the process of taking, recording, changing, and canceling reservations, and support with various administrative and clerical functions as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Proven success as a Reservationist within fine dining, Michelin-starred establishments, or luxury hotel settings
  • Capable of operating autonomously with minimal oversight
  • Maintains a professional, upbeat demeanor and embraces a collaborative, team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of Club Reservations
  • Facilitate members requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee bookings and member database
  • Handle large parties
  • Taking, recording, changing, and canceling reservations
  • Support with various administrative and clerical functions as assigned by management
  • Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, or email, providing information about availability and assist members in making reservations based on their preferences and requirements
  • Inputting reservation details into Maxime’s reservation system, including member information, room preferences, special requests, and payment details, ensuring completeness and correctness of reservation records
  • Assist members with inquiries, requests, or changes to existing reservations, including modifications to booking dates, and provide solutions to ensure member satisfaction and retention
  • Communicate effectively with other departmental teams, including Membership, Reception and Restaurant Operations teams to coordinate special requests and preferences, ensuring seamless experience from booking to departure
  • Address members’ concerns or issues related to reservations, such as discrepancies, cancellations, or special requests, and work with relevant departments to resolve problems promptly and satisfactorily
