About The Position

One Degree Advisors is offering a six-week Research Internship in San Diego, California, for Summer 2027. The schedule and start date are negotiable. The intern will work 15 hours per week alongside the advisory team, gaining a real-world introduction to financial planning, investment management, and client-focused advisory work. The position contributes to actual client work, supports advisor research, and participates in the daily activities of a growing advisory firm, including internal staff and advisor meetings.

The role calls for independent initiative and clear communication of findings to advisors. Templates and guidance will be provided, while creativity and curiosity are encouraged. The intern can expect regular check-ins with a firm advisor to review progress and completed work and discuss career development. The position reports to Anthony Saffer, CEO.

Responsibilities

• Research investment vehicles and financial planning topics to support advisor and client work.
• Compile and present research concisely for advisor review and application.
• Assist with client work.
• Support marketing initiatives and firm projects as assigned.
• Participate in internal staff and advisor meetings.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
