About The Position

One Degree Advisors is offering a six-week Research Internship in San Diego, California, for Summer 2027. The intern will work alongside the advisory team and gain a real-world introduction to financial planning, investment management, and client-focused advisory work. The role contributes to actual client work, supports advisors with research, and participates in the daily operations of a growing advisory firm, including internal staff and advisor meetings.

The intern will work independently and communicate findings clearly to the advisors they support. Templates and guidance will be provided, while creativity and curiosity are encouraged. Regular check-ins with a firm advisor will cover progress, completed work, and career development. The schedule and start date are negotiable. The position is hourly, part-time, and 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Research investment vehicles and financial planning topics to support advisor and client work.
• Compile and present research concisely for advisor review and application.

• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
