About The Position

Developing Equitable, Visionary, Evidence-based Programs for Lifelong Outcomes in Pediatrics (DEVELOP) is an innovative pilot project focused on equity- and person-centered neurodevelopmental care, aiming to shape the future of developmental pediatrics and rehabilitation for children and families. The projects within DEVELOP concentrate on practical clinical innovations with measurable impact and a clear implementation pathway within BCCH. Priority areas include improving functional and lifelong outcomes for children, advancing equity and access (especially for underserved families), enhancing system efficiency (triage, flow, navigation, wait times), and ensuring scalability and sustainability within BCCH and its related care pathways. The work will be conducted in-person at Sunnyhill, located within the BC Women’s and Children's Hospital in Vancouver. The Coordinator will support various activities for the overall program, which encompasses multiple projects involving diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Completion of a relevant technical program or a university degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Recent experience in project management.
  • Experience in facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to coach team members on project management skills.
  • Effectively monitors budgets and executes project plans with stringent timelines.
  • Utilizes initiative, vision, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.
  • Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment, including the ability to communicate with the clinical community.
  • Commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional designation is considered an asset.
  • Experience or working knowledge of content areas is key to the success of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of work related to DEVELOP Innovation pilots.
  • Create and design system tracking, databases, input data, and extract data related to the scalability and sustainability of the pilots.
  • Prepare materials for meetings and presentations.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure the accuracy and detail of project records.
  • Outline timelines, project deliverables, and provide feedback related to the successful execution of projects.
  • Implement or contribute to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and provide input and follow-up for action items.
  • Interact with clinical and research personnel and patients/families.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of project budgets within the context of operational demands and environmental and resource constraints, using best practice methods to monitor and adhere to allocated budgets.
  • Process/supervise and track payments for various services and patient/family honorariums.
  • Coordinate data acquisition, develop storage, de-identification, and confidentiality protocols in compliance with hospital and ethics requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance auditing.
  • Perform preliminary analysis of data and system flow outcomes related to sustainability for reports.
  • Coordinate meetings internally for projects and externally for the DEVELOP committee.
