Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Public Health or related field is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Access are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring institutional and investigator compliance with institutional policies and procedures as well as federal and state law and regulations.
  • Participating in academic initiatives and activities within the division.
  • Working with PI to develop study protocols and protocol amendments for the IRB as needed, including the development of new measures.
  • Managing data collection, analysis and cleaning, performing regular audits to ensure that the data collected are complete and accurate, and that the research is being conducted as outlined in the protocol.
  • Developing appropriate progress reports for the PI, study funding agency and the IRB.
  • Assisting PI with preparation of grant proposals (new and competing renewals).
  • Assisting the faculty in gathering the required documents and data needed to prepare grant applications.
  • Securing related supporting letters and attachments required for grants and contracts.
  • Confirming that the appropriate resources are available, which are needed by the PI.
  • Arranging meetings of study partners, developing meeting agendas, and facilitating meetings.
  • Facilitating the preparation of conference abstracts, oral presentations, and poster presentations.
  • Participating in the development of manuscripts for publication.
  • Partnering with departmental IT resources in the development of databases; data coding manuals and data entry guidelines.
  • Training staff and interns to collect and enter data appropriately.
  • Performing/Managing the collection of data from importable and exportable formats for rapid dissemination to PIs and sponsors.
  • Ensuring that adverse events and protocol deviations are submitted to the IRB.
  • Overseeing the process by which participants are recruited into the study.
  • Implementing/Conducting quality improvement/control project/procedures.
  • Working with Departmental Administrator to monitor project budgets.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
