About The Position

This posting is for a Research Assistant (CUPE) position for the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester within the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa. The role involves doctrinal research on identity concealment in law and sociology, jurisprudential research on discrimination by adverse effects and the limits of freedom of expression in employment, and preparation of a grant application. The position is for one student, with a total of 100 work hours, starting June 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2026. The hourly rate is $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students, exclusive of vacation and statutory pay. The hiring process will be governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements
