About The Position

This posting is for a Research Assistant (CUPE) position for the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester within the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa. The role involves jurisprudential and doctrinal analysis on discrimination by adverse effects in employment, and the limits of freedom of expression in employment. The assistant will also prepare an external grant application. The position is supervised by Andréa Talarico and has a total of 100 work hours.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
  • All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
  • The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
