About The Position

Career Team is seeking a RESEA Coordinator to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services to participants referred through the Reemployment Services & Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Program. These participants are typically receiving unemployment benefits. The role involves supporting individuals in their job search, training, or education endeavors to achieve financial stability and employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1-2 years of work experience or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge about community resources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions.
  • Ability to work with and relate to participants and be culturally sensitive.
  • Computer literate with MS Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills at minimum.
  • Ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base.
  • Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals.
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management services to RESEA participants.
  • Lead RESEA Workshops and Orientations covering program introductions, resume building, and interviewing skills.
  • Report participant non-compliance or eligibility issues to UI State entities.
  • Enter data into Work In Texas and other required participant information systems.
  • Guide jobseekers in preparing individual employment plans (IEP) aligned with their occupational goals.
  • Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
  • Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up on these activities.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation, ensuring case files contain necessary documentation and meet compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate individual case files for each registered customer.
  • Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks.
  • Participate in staff-related events, including training, staff meetings, and individual supervision.
  • Complete all required reports.
  • Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset.
  • Perform other duties and projects as needed.
