About The Position

Obtains accurate demographic, financial, and clinical information and enters it into the computer system to create medical and financial records. Applies financial guidelines to determine and collect patient liability. Performs other duties as assigned, including health screening.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of business experience.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in standard English, in written, oral, and verbal formats.
• Write legibly and record information accurately.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Type at least 25 words per minute.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to speak clearly and be understood.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of business experience in a healthcare environment.
• Associate degree or 2 years of college-level coursework.
• CHAA.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately, efficiently, and professionally to maintain database integrity and facilitate claims processing.
• Apply financial screening guidelines and follow proper procedures for obtaining upfront collections for the specific facility.
• Promote patient flow through prompt and courteous service.
• Complete assigned goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including health screening.
