About The Position

The Repairs Shaver and Hand Sewing Clerk restores garments to their intended quality and appearance. The role requires hand sewing experience or training and may involve repairing different types of garment damage through hand sewing and/or shaving. The clerk is expected to complete repairs promptly while meeting productivity and quality standards.

The position is located at 1300 South Dean Avenue, Raymore, Missouri, 64083. Listed shifts are Sunday through Wednesday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or Monday through Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass a sewing and shaving test.
• Must comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Must be dependable and work with a sense of urgency.
• Must maintain acceptable attendance and be able to work overtime as required.
• Must be able to perform the listed physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or GED is preferred.
• Hand sewing experience or training.
• Knowledge of sweater shaving.

Responsibilities

• Use hand sewing techniques for a variety of garment repairs.
• Perform sweater shaving.
• Inspect work carefully for detail and quality.

• Stand and walk throughout a shift; climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods; reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Operate required warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks, box cutters, and carts.
