About The Position

The Nuuly Spotting Clerk identifies stains on fabrics, determines suitable spotting procedures based on fabric type and stain nature, and applies chemical solutions to remove stains while maintaining fabric integrity. The role requires a motivated team player with a positive attitude, strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and take on diverse assignments. The clerk collaborates with employees, customers, and management and may provide training to associates as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school degree or GED required.
• Knowledge of textiles.
• Skill in removing stains while maintaining fabric integrity.
• Must have color vision.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and be able to work overtime as required.
• Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Stand and walk throughout a shift.
• Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods.
• Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment as required, such as a pallet jack, box cutter, or carts; operation requires coordinated movements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect spot stains to determine their composition and select appropriate solvents.
• Apply chemicals to neutralize the effects of solvents.
• Spray steam, water, or air over spots to flush out chemicals, dry material, raise nap, or brighten color.
• Clean fabric using a vacuum or air hose.
• Spread garments on a worktable and position stains over a vacuum head or on a marble slab.
• Apply bleaching powder to spots and spray with steam to remove stains from certain fabrics that do not respond to other cleaning solvents.
• Provide training to associates as needed.
• Take on additional responsibilities to contribute to team success.
• Follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.
