GEDIA Georgia is seeking Repair Weld Operators for its growing Tier 1 supply company in Dalton, Georgia. This role performs manual weld repairs before full production and supports production operations to help ensure product quality. The company is looking for an energetic team player interested in developing expertise and building a long-term career. The position requires working off-shift hours and adapting to changing production priorities.

Requirements

Welding degree from an accredited institution.
Successfully pass two welding qualification tests: a visual welding test and a cut-and-etch test.
Recent welding experience; must have held a welding-related job within the last year.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and willingness to assist other departments and adapt to shifting workloads.
Willingness to work off-shift hours.
Ability to distinguish colors for repair tasks.
Ability to move throughout the plant, including upper-level areas.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform manual weld repairs on assemblies.
Operate and manage robotic laser and assembly cells.
Support fabrication and production tooling activities before full production ramp-up.
Work with maintenance when required.
Build wraps and racks.
Run assembly cells and lasers, and perform off-stacking for the press.
Adapt daily tasks to production priorities and assist other departments as needed.
Train future Repair Weld Operators as the department grows.
Perform quick quality checks.
Complete and implement quality-control documentation.
Transport materials throughout the plant.
Assist with changing welding devices.
Maintain cleanliness of the laser machine and work area.
