About The Position

The Rental Yard Worker supports the Mesa Rental operation by loading, unloading, refueling, moving, shipping, and receiving machines. The role operates forklifts to handle rental equipment and attachments, assists customers and transport partners, and maintains accurate inventory records and equipment locations. The worker also stages, inspects, fuels, and parks equipment, and maintains the rental department’s yard, offices, and storage areas. The position assists rental technicians with changing tractor attachments and helps the Rental Operations Manager with inventory audits. It requires safe work practices, consistent attendance, English communication skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks in an outdoor environment exposed to weather, equipment, and loud noise. This is designated as a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Forklift certified.
Minimum of 6 months of related experience.
Experience operating forklifts and large equipment.
Ability to operate and use cleaning equipment and mechanics repair tools.
Interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with people and efficiently meet customer needs.
Ability to legibly write receiving records, maintain inventory control records, and follow shipping instructions.
Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.

Responsibilities

Assist customers, vendors, and transport companies delivering or picking up rental machines.
Use DBS to receive and ship machines and attachments.
Use DBS to maintain accurate records of inventory locations.
Stage equipment to be loaded.
Fuel machines, check them for damage, and park them in the appropriate area for service.
Maintain the yard, offices, and storage areas within the rental department.
Work safely and comply with applicable safety policies, company policies, procedures, and standards.
Assist rental technicians in changing attachments on rental tractors.
Assist the Rental Operations Manager with inventory audits.
Clean rental tractors, cabs, and exteriors.
Work within and promote corporate values.
