About The Position

Yancey Bros. Co., Georgia’s authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer, is hiring a Rental Yard Coordinator to organize and manage the movement of equipment in the yard. The role operates heavy equipment to load and unload new, used, and customer equipment. It also handles receiving and transferring attachments and conducting monthly attachment inventory checks.

The coordinator logs trucks entering and leaving the yard, records equipment and attachment shipments and receipts in a tracking system, checks in rental and customer machines, and maintains equipment and outside facilities. The role also performs inspections, cleaning, fueling, yard organization, and equipment inventory. Additional duties include forklift inspections, monitoring and recording tank oil levels, delivering parts, and participating in safety programs.

The successful candidate has mechanical aptitude, is organized and safety-conscious, and can operate different types of heavy equipment. Basic computer skills, a clean driving record, multitasking, problem-solving, and customer service skills are important. A high school education or equivalent is required; experience organizing an equipment yard and operating multiple types of heavy equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload machines and attachments from lowboy trailers.
• Log all incoming and exiting trucks that come onto the yard.
• Log all shipping and receiving of machines and attachments in the tracking system.
• Check in heavy rentals and customer machines.
• Clean, fuel, and perform pre- and post-inspections on machines.
• Maintain outside facilities, including organizing machines on the yard and cutting the yard with a mower.
• Inventory equipment in the yard.
• Complete receiving and transferring of attachments and perform monthly attachment inventory checks.
• Conduct forklift inspections.
• Monitor and record oil levels in tanks monthly.
• Deliver parts to customers and other branch locations.
• Participate in required safety programs and work in a safe manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
