About The Position

The Yard Coordinator is responsible for the overall organization and movement of equipment on the yard. The role operates heavy equipment to load and unload new, used, and customer equipment, completes receiving and transferring of attachments, and performs monthly attachment inventory checks. The position also supports equipment inspections and cleaning, yard maintenance, inventory tracking, and parts delivery.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of how to operate heavy equipment.
• Clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills, including email, internet, and basic data entry.
• Problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Safety-conscious approach.
• Mechanical aptitude and organizational ability.
• Ability to operate different types of heavy equipment.
• Ability to provide superior customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience organizing an equipment yard.
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload machines and attachments from lowboy trailers.
• Log all incoming and exiting trucks that come onto the yard.
• Log shipping and receiving of machines and attachments in the tracking system.
• Check in heavy rentals and customer machines.
• Clean and fuel machines, and perform pre- and post-inspections.
• Maintain outside facilities, including organizing machines on the yard and cutting the yard with a mower.
• Inventory equipment in the yard.
• Inspect forklifts.
• Monitor and record oil levels in tanks monthly.
• Deliver parts to customers and other branch locations.
• Participate in the required safety program and work safely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
