About The Position

The Rental Shop Supervisor oversees rental shop operations and monitors up to 20 staff members. The role works with the Rental Shop Manager to train new hires, schedule staff, maintain daily activities, and monitor progress. In the manager’s absence, the supervisor monitors rental and repair shop activities. The position also involves renting mountain sports equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, and bikes, depending on the season. The supervisor upholds safety and customer service standards, documents guest and employee incidents, reconciles the cash drawer at the beginning and/or end of a shift, and performs other duties assigned by management.

This seasonal position has varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and typically offers 16 to 40 hours per week. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Good leadership, communication, customer service, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work outdoors.
• Ability to handle cash transactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to consistently lift 10 or more pounds throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ski and snowboard equipment is preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Current rental binding certifications; training is provided.
• Prior experience supervising staff in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
