About The Position

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., the exclusive Caterpillar dealer for western and central Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia, and western Maryland, is seeking a motivated Rental Equipment Shop Technician to join its team. The successful candidate will work on earthmoving and construction equipment, diagnosing and repairing equipment independently and maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. The role requires relevant equipment experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate with customers and solve problems. Shop Technicians work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, cold, injury hazards, and atmospheric conditions, and must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Requirements

Relevant working experience with heavy equipment.
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics.
Welding experience.
Intermediate computer skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good human relations skills and the ability to communicate and problem-solve with customers.
Graduate of a technical school or military school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work in an industrial environment and perform the listed physical activities, including sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pushing or pulling, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching.

Responsibilities

Independently diagnose and repair equipment.
Operate and maintain earthmoving and construction equipment.
Communicate and problem-solve with customers while supporting customer satisfaction.
