About The Position

Massanutten Resort is hiring a seasonal Rental Shop Repair Technician. The role maintains excellent records of duties performed and equipment test results, follows workplace safety policies, and provides information and service to resort guests. The position requires standing for extended periods, repeatedly lifting 10 or more pounds throughout the shift, working outdoors, basic computer and customer service skills, and cash-handling experience. Prior ski or snowboard retail repair-shop experience is preferred, but training may be provided to the right candidate. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have current Technician and rental binding certifications; training is provided. The schedule varies, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings as needed, with 16 to 40 hours per week. Pay is $13.00 per hour.

• Prior experience in the repair shop of a ski or snowboard retail store.

Responsibilities

• Tune skis and snowboards by hand or machine.
• Repair damaged skis, boots, poles, and other equipment.
• Mount and re-mount bindings and adjust them according to manufacturer standards.
• Test boot and binding systems for proper operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Serve as an information source for guests.
• Handle and accept responsibility for large sums of money.
• Quote rates and provide accurate information to resort guests.
• Maintain records of duties performed and equipment test results.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
