About The Position

The Rental Shop Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Rental Shop’s daily operations. The role includes supervising and training employees, serving guests, adjusting and maintaining rental equipment, managing shop inventory and ski check, and handling paperwork, cash, and daily operational procedures. The supervisor may also assist other departments as needed and help maintain the surrounding area.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have prior experience managing people and equipment.
• Must have prior experience handling money.
• Must have basic computer skills; Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Must be able to deal with high volumes of people in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Must not be color blind.
• Must work well with others in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds over the head.
• Must be able to handle confrontations.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and nights.
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous technical experience with skis and snowboards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide superior guest service.
• Train, assist, and manage Rental Shop employees.
• Adjust ski and snowboard equipment based on rental-form information and teach others to perform adjustments.
• Perform opening and closing duties.
• Ensure Rental Shop paperwork is completed accurately and in full by all parties.
• Inspect returned equipment and place it in the proper location.
• Educate customers on the proper use of equipment.
• Wax and maintain equipment.
• Keep the work environment in and around the Rental Shop clean and organized.
• Manage and track assets and conduct daily inventory checks.
• Handle a revolving bank.
• Manage ski check.
• Ensure timeclock systems are updated daily.
• Handle cash, complete cashier closeouts, and troubleshoot points of sale.
• Help other departments as needed.
• Remove snow and garbage around the area.
• Ensure employees work in a team atmosphere.
• Delegate work according to the day’s priorities and discipline employees when necessary.
